There are established tree and hedgerow boundaries with timber post and wire fencing. There is a band of woodland to the east of the site.<br /><br />The site benefits from fantastic views looking down the valley and the<br />countryside beyond. <br /> <br />The site is located in Rhyd-Y-Fro, approximately 1 mile north of Pontardawe town centre.<br /><br />Rhyd-Y-Fro provides local facilities including a Premier store and Post Office, as well as Rhydyfro Primary School which is adjacent to the subject site. <br /><br />Pontardawe offers a wider provision of amenities including a Tesco Superstore, Lidl, Pontardawe Leisure Centre and Cwmtawe Community School.<br /><br />The site is situated approximately 5.7 miles north-east of Junction 45 of the M4, 10 miles north-east of Swansea City Centre (approx. 25 minute drive) and 50 miles from Cardiff (approx. 1 hour 15 minute drive).<br /><br />Local transport includes a bus service from Commercial Road, providing onwards travel to Neath and Swansea. The nearest train station is approximately 7 miles south-east in Neath where direct services are available to Swansea (14 minutes), Cardiff (42 minutes) and London Paddington (2 hours 45 minutes).
